Thirst among equals

DAVID Cameron took a break from running the country to enjoy a drink as he watched England play India in the Oval Test yesterday.

In a radio interview during the tea break the Prime Minister expressed his pride at England’s performance over the summer which has seen them become the world’s number one Test side. He added: “I hope no one would begrudge an afternoon’s cricket – particularly when England are playing so well.”

He also revealed that he had boasted about England’s status as the world’s top cricket team in a phone call to American President Barack Obama.
