Video: New footage of Chapeltown violence suspects

POLICE have arrested a total of 58 people in connection with the isolated pockets of disorder which hit West Yorkshire last week.

The figure has been steadily rising over the week as detectives sift through evidence from incidents in Chapeltown in Leeds and the Deighton and Sheepbridge areas of Huddersfield.

A force spokesman said 22 people had been detained in connection with trouble in Leeds while 33 have been arrested in relation to disorder across Huddersfield.

A further three people from Wakefield have been arrested and charged with incitement offences relating to posts on social networking sites.

West Yorkshire Police said inquiries were continuing to trace further suspects.
