Updated: Heartbreaking death of boy at school 'was not suspicious'

A child died after becoming ill while at school in Hull.

The boy, believed to be five-years-old, was pronounced dead at Hull Royal Infirmary on Friday.

He reportedly choked to death during dinner time at Anlaby Primary School.

And police have now said they are not treating the death as suspicious.

Detective Chief Inspector Tony Cockerill said: “It is heart breaking that a child has died and we are supporting the child’s family.”

A police spokesman said the death is still unexplained.

They added: "The child's family have asked to be left to grieve in peace."
