The Observation Wheel Leeds, or OWL for short, will open for business from 10am tomorrow. The gigantic wheel, which is
taller than Nelson’s Column, is the first of its kind to visit Leeds and will offer 12-minute rides complete with audio commentary.

It can be found in the car park between George Street and Union Street – close to Kirkgate Market and just 100m from
Briggate.

The impressive structure, which previously attended both the Olympics and Royal wedding celebrations, has 40 fully enclosed and illuminated gondolas which can each carry up to six passengers.
