Video: Flipping good fun as Leeds pancake race is revived

THE long-standing tradition of a Shrove Tuesday pancake race was revived in Leeds today after a break of several years.

Scores of children took part in the race, from the precinct behind Leeds Parish Church. Participants included children from the Leeds Parish School, St. Peter’s Church of England Primary in Lincoln Green, and choristers and members of the Junior Parish Church.

The Rector of Leeds, Canon Tony Bundock, said: “I am delighted that this long-standing Leeds Parish Church tradition is being restored this year after having lapsed some years ago.”
