Video - New dad who uploaded ‘soppy’ lullaby he sang to baby daughter becomes internet sensation after song goes viral
What started as a original song by the 29 year old from Hollywood, Birmingham, for his 11 day old daughter soon turned into a viral video.
“I used to be in a band when I was younger, so one of my friends half jokingly challenged me to write a song for Ivy and I thought I’d give it a go.” said Matt. “I’m not that good at the soppy dad stuff so I decided to do it about her having a dream.” The video was posted on Matt’s Facebook at around 11 pm on September 8, and by 12 the next day it had reached over seven thousand people, some as far as Australia.
