We've captured the excitement of Flying Scotsman's excursion on England's most scenic rail line in a timelapse video from the footplate of the famous locomotive.

Yorkshire Post photographer James Hardisty shot the footage during the inaugural journey on the reopened route on the Settle-Carlisle line, through the Yorkshire Dales.
