Video: World pumpkin smashing record attempt

YORK Dungeon launched its Home of Halloween celebrations by smashing a world record and a lot of pumpkins.

The record for the number of pumpkins smashed in a minute was held by TV presenter Ben Shephard, who managed 11 on This Morning in 2010

But today York Dungeon entered the record books by smashing 15.

Characters the Torturer and the Druid Witch, played by Richard Barker and Georgie O’Farrell, helped to smash the vegetable, which is synonymous with Halloween.
