Evil Darryl Moore, 22, flew into an alcohol-fuelled rage and battered his 18-year-old girlfriend Rayna Holden by punching and kicking her – and stamping on her when she was unconscious.
Rayna, who stands just 5ft 5ins and is a size six, was left with bruising, two broken ribs and a dislocated knee after the savage beating, which was captured in full on CCTV at the Cross Keys pub in Washington Village.
Moore, now 22, has now been convicted of assault and jailed for 12 months at Newcastle Crown Court.
Prosecutor Neil Palliser told the court the couple, who had lived together in Sunderland, were at the end of their relationship when they agreed to meet at the bar and had an argument.
Brave Rayna said: “Daryl was my first love, and I was so besotted with him I trusted him completely.
“When he attacked me that night I thought he was going to kill me. I’ve never been so terrified in all my life.
“I was scared to press charges but when I saw the CCTV footage I knew he had to be stopped - I don’t want any other woman to go through what I did.”
Rayna has moved back to her home town of Failsworth, Manchester, following the November 2014 assault in the pub beer garden.
The 14-minute clip shows an argument break out between Moore and Rayna in the pub’s beer garden, before Moore beats, kicks and stamps on her body - even when his girlfriend falls unconscious.
Moore dragged his fleeing girlfriend down a hill and threw numerous punches and kicks at the helpless girl - before his pal eventually pulled him off her.
After the attack, Rayna spent two months in Wearside Women in Need Shelter before moving back in with her grandfather David, 69.
