A yellow weather warning for ice and snow has been issued for parts of Yorkshire including Leeds.
All of West Yorkshire, including Leeds and Wakefield, and all of South Yorkshire including Sheffield, are in line for an icy snap which will bring freezing cold and possible snow showers.
The weather warning begins at 6pm today and is in place until 10am on Tuesday.
Other parts of the UK are going to see ice and snow for even longer.
The Met Office forecast said: "Icy surfaces developing, with a little snow in places.
"Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces are to be expected and probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths"
The Met Office says temperatures in Yorkshire will be as low as 0 degrees, climbing to peaks of just 3 degrees C - perfect snow weather.
Although the forecast in Leeds is only for cloud, with the odd rain shower, the snow and ice warning itself is in place, so there is a possibility of a smattering of the white stuff.
Leeds officially had a white Christmas as snow showers hit parts of the city on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
