Friday (29 May)

Friday is set to see a mixture of sunny intervals and bright sunshine in most areas, with the temperature becoming warm.

The evening will be clear and dry.

The Met Office said: “A similar day to Thursday with spells of strong sunshine. It may be cloudier for a time in the morning. Turning warm by afternoon but cooler towards some coasts. Maximum temperature 25C.”

Saturday (30 May)

Saturday is forecast to see bright skies throughout the day in most parts of the region. It will remain warm with highs of 20C throughout the day.

The evening will be sunny, dry and warm, with temperatures still up at 17C by 7pm.

The Met Office outlook for Saturday to Monday for Yorkshire said: “Dry and warm through the outlook period with strong sunshine. Cooler near some coasts with an onshore breeze at times.”

Sunday will be similar, with sunshine throughout the day and the temperature reaching around 21C in some parts, remaining so throughout the rest of the afternoon.

Sunday evening will remain dry and clear, with the temperature slowly dipping. Overnight temperature of around 9C.

What will the beginning of June be like?

The Met Office UK weather outlook for the start of June forecasts “a continuation of the current settled weather with most places staying dry and sunny.”

However, there is an increasing chance of some rain or showers at times, especially across northern and western parts.

It will also be very warm initially, but temperatures are likely to begin to return to normal towards the middle of the period.

There may then be a shift to more changeable conditions, with an increased chance of showers or longer spells of rain across all parts of the UK.

The showers or spells of rain are likely to be across the northwest and possibly accompanied by strong winds, but any wetter periods are likely to be interspersed with some drier and brighter weather.
