Wheel of fortune as bike shop owner scoops £3.5m lotto jackpot (VIDEO)

A BICYCLE shop owner from York has vowed to keep working 12-hour days despite winning more than £3.5 million on the National Lottery.

Just because Neil Dexter and his wife Lesley have scooped a 3.5m lottery jackpot does not mean he is going to give up working 12 hours a day in his bicycle shop.

So far the thrifty York couple have only dipped into their winnings to buy a horsebox, and Mr Dexter, 50, says it will be business as usual at Wheelies Cycle Care except he will be able to clock off a couple of hours early.

Mrs Dexter, 52, a part-time school administrator, was out riding when her husband called her with the news. "To be honest, I didn't believe a word, " she said.

The couple, who have two grown-up children, are mainly interested in seeing the family financially secure, but a trip to Australia and change of address are also on the cards. "We have lived in the same house for 16 years and have never got round to doing the work it needs. It will be nice to live somewhere new with wallpaper, " Mrs Dexter added.
