Wheelie big record attempt

Teenage stunt rider Aaron Stannage is hoping to pedal his way into the pages of Guinness World Records.

Aaron, 14, will have an hour to ride as far as he can on just the back wheel of his bike – pulling a wheelie that could last for several miles.

His attempt, on Sunday, will be adjudicated by three Guinness-approved spectators.

Aaron's father Mark, a professional stuntman, said if anybody wanted to join the crowd at the John Charles Centre for Sport in Middleton Grove, Leeds, from noon they would be more than welcome. Aaron, who lives with his family in South Hiendley, between Barnsley and Wakefield, has been sponsored by cycle maker Diamond Back and Barnsley extreme sports shop Avit.
