Wide-ranging show
Jane Galvin, commercial manager at Cannon Hall Museum, Cawthorne, Barnsley, takes a look at a print of Whitby by Bradford printmaker Philip Elliston one of the five Yorkshire artist exhibiting at the museum until the end of October. The exhibition displays pieces from five local artists – photographer Adrian Ashworth, printmaker Mr Elliston, jewellery designer Nina Parker, potter Patrick Smith and glass maker Gillies Jones.
Each of the artists uses a wide range of techniques and processes to create stunning and “affordable” pieces.
From colourful and functional domestic ware to one off designer glass pieces, the exhibition is the perfect opportunity to view the work of these artists within the beautiful setting of Cannon Hall, say organisers. The exhibition runs until the end of October.
