Wildlife artist brings his work to life

Art lovers are being given the chance to witness the habitat of wildlife which has inspired a renowned artist's latest exhibition.

Robert Fuller, shown above with a ferruginous hawk and one of his paintings of a pair of barn owls, is taking visitors to his latest exhibition on a series of guided tours, including hawk walks, night owl safaris and dragonfly hunts, to find the secret hiding places of his subjects.

The tours are part of a wildlife festival which Mr Fuller is hosting at his gallery at Fotherdale Farm in Thixendale in the Yorkshire Wolds from today until Sunday, July 11. The festival will feature a series of events, including nature walks with the naturalist Michael Flowers and falconry displays .

It will also showcase Mr Fuller's latest collection of paintings and sculptures featuring native British species.
