Woman, 78, dies after being hit by motorbike in North Yorkshire

Helen Doherty, of Colburn, was hit by a Lexmoto motorcycle yesterday morning.

She was taken to James Cook Hospital by Air Ambulance but died from her injuries.

Police today issued an appeal for witnesses to the fatal collision in Forest Drive, Colburn, at 10.45am.

A spokesman said: “A man in his 30s was arrested at a property nearby in connection with the incident. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.”
