The ‘Triathlon’ sculpture in Bramhope, Leeds, was created by Shane Green to celebrate the pair’s Olympic success, which saw Alistair take gold and Jonathan bronze. The eight-foot sculpture will now be on display near The Birches in Otley Road and Leeds Road. The artist is now planning a stone sculpture to mark next year’s Tour de France event in Yorkshire. picture: steve riding
