Child, 3, among shooting victims in Chicago park

Chicago Fire Department officials said the child was yesterday in a critical condition, and two other victims were also critical.

A spokeswoman said the shooting occurred shortly after 10pm on Thursday in a park in the city’s Back of the Yards neighbourhood.

She said at least 10 ambulances took the victims to several local hospitals.

One witness said that dreadlocked men fired at him from a car before turning and firing at others. He said his three-year-old nephew was wounded in the cheek.
