Yorkshire farmer chosen to front British food campaign

A FARMER from Yorkshire has been named as the face of a national campaign to promote British agriculture and food.

James Potter, who runs Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs at Catton, near Thirsk in North Yorkshire, was selected by PR guru Max Clifford to front the British Food Fortnight promotional campaign after making a shortlist of 10 nominees.

He will now appear on Love British Food posters which will be displayed nationwide during British Food Fortnight from September 18 until October 3.

Mr Clifford said: "James is, in my opinion, the perfect person to be the Face of British Food Fortnight 2010. He has a face full of charm, integrity and which exudes the outdoor life –- a wonderful combination made even better by a huge smile."
