Yorkshire hotel voted fourth best in world

Harrogate’s Rudding Park Hotel is helping put Yorkshire on the map after it was voted the number one hotel in the UK and the fourth best overall worldwide.

The hotel was also voted 
into second place in the top hotels of Europe based on opinions gathered from thousands of guests’ reviews by TripAdvisor.

It is the third time in the last four years that Rudding Park 
has won the national 
award.

Peter Banks, managing 
director at Rudding Park said: “Winning this national award three times in the last four years is a tremendous achievement.”

Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said last night: “This is an incredible achievement, and one that is richly deserved.”

There was also success for other Yorkshire establishments. Two Yorkshire B&Bs made it into the world top 10 B&Bs – All Seasons Guest House, Filey, was sixth and St Michael’s Guest House, Scarborough, seventh.

The Caribbean in Doncaster, got into the top 10 best-bargain hotels – in eighth place, 
while Swinton Park, Masham, was placed in the top ten of the UK’s top hotels, in seventh position.
