Youngsters bowled over by ex-England cricketer

FORMER England cricketer Dominic Cork bowled over students at Ashville College, Harrogate, yesterday.

The former Derbyshire, Lancashire and Hampshire player is the latest professional guest coach to attend the Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy, which is being held for a sixth time at the independent school during the Easter break,

Cork, who captained Hampshire to victory in the 2010 Friends Provident t20 and is renowned for his swing and seam control, spent a morning helping the youngsters improve their bowling, batting and catching skills as well as signing autographs.

Previous guest coaches at the cricket academy have included its founder, Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff, England fast bowler Jimmy Anderson and former New Zealand batsman Lou Vincent. PICTURE: GARY LONGBOTTOM
