YouTube deal to broadcast all IPL cricket matches

YouTube will broadcast every cricket match from this season's Indian Premier League (IPL) live across the world, its owner Google said.

It is one of the largest sporting events to be live-streamed across the globe and will include 60 matches over 45 days.

The games will be streamed to every country free of charge – except in the US, which is running a catch-up service. YouTube's dedicated IPL channel will also feature player interviews, highlights and pitch reports.

Under the two-year deal, Google and the IPL will share sponsorship and advertising revenues.
