Chris Basham – a cross which just eluded Jayden Bogle but he had a quiet night 6

John Egan – had little to do in the cold 6

Ethan Amapdu – good link-up with Billy Sharp led to a cross Bogle should have put away 6

Jayden Bogle – the Blades' biggest threat all night 8

John Lundstram – one shot from distance 6

John Fleck – did not really stamp his authority 6

Max Lowe – hit the crossbar in an energetic display 7

David McGoldrick – played between the lines and was a creative influence 7

Rhian Brewster – a first Blades goal shows no signs of coming for the club record signing centre-forward 6

Billy Sharp – a good penalty to break the deadlock 7.
