Back-row are key to Wales prospects

I haven’t watched a lot of rugby being up the side of the mountain on my 737 Challenge but I think Wales are poised to do reasonably well.

We’ve got a tough group, but every group is tough.

In some ways, playing South Africa first is good because its the best time to play the Boks and they won’t under-estimate us.

But after that, win or lose, there’s still a lot of hard work to do with Fiji and Samoa in the group because gone are the days when the island sides were easy opposition, they are really tough games now.

From the pre-World Cup games there were a lot of areas where Wales looked strong, we looked really fit. Physically we have been strong in the breakdown.

They’re only going to get better and I’m quite excited.

I think the back row looks really good, it’s a young back row who have played together regularly

Injury withstanding, and form, they could play together for a long time, and when you look at the back rows of the great teams like England eight years ago, that was forged over years not just overnight.

I would like to think they’ll get through, I wouldn’t take anything for granted.

Being a proud Welshman I want them to do really well and sincerely I think they can.

I’m confident they’ll get through the group and it’s a bit of a cliche, anything can happen in that quarter-final.
