Bester determined to be tough at home

RUGBY UNION: Rotherham Titans expect to name the same 22 for their rearranged fixture against Cornish Pirates at Clifton Lane tomorrow.

Titans coach Andre Bester said: “We know Pirates are going to provide us with the sternest of challenges and they will fancy turning us over. Our defeat at home to London Welsh has provided opposition with a chink of light and teams will come here now believing they can do a job.”

Full-back Michael Stephenson will return to action tomorrow as Leeds Carnegie head to Nottingham for their re-arranged Championship fixture.

Stephenson missed the recent win over Bedford after picking up an injury at Plymouth Albion. He replaces Tommy Bell who is on duty with the England Under-20s.

Jordan Davies returns to the centres and he will take over kicking duties from Bell while Joe Barker starts at fly-half.

Sam Lockwood comes in for Gareth Denman and Richard Beck starts in the back row for Chris Walker, who captained England’s Under-20s last night.

Doncaster Knights’ scheduled trip to London Welsh has been postponed for a second time.
