Fans go wild for Warrington at Leeds weigh-in for WBC title clash
The Leeds fighter will face Hasashi Amagasa on Saturday as he defends his belt for the second time.
The weigh-in at Leeds’s Carriageworks venue drew a sizeable crowd of the boxer’s supporters eager to cheer their hero on.

Hide AdPlayful chants of ‘who are ya’ greeted his Japanese opponent who will face the usual hostile reception in front of the First Direct Arena crowds this evening.
The jeers quickly gave way to cheers as the former dental technician took the stage with a thumbs up for the fans.
As he took the scales the crowd grew silent before the officials announced that Warrington “undefeated and from the great city of Leeds” had weighed in at 8st 14lbs.
Following the announcement Warrington bellowed “Come on!” at fans before his followers began cheering “he’s one of our own” in support of their homegrown champion.

Hide AdFollowing the usual nose-to-nose pose down for the cameras Warrington once again had smiles and waves for fans before respectfully shaking Amagasa’s hand. He would later hand out a pair of boxing gloves to one lucky supporter in the crowd.
Promoter Eddie Hearn said: “Great turn out in Leeds for the weigh-in.
“Tomorrow is going to be a great night.”
