Clarets signings set for bows as Chelsea stars held back

Today:Burnley v Chelsea New signings Leon Cort and Nicky Weaver are in the Clarets squad but Graham Alexander is struggling with a calf strain. Chelsea are without Ivory Coast strikers Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou. The pair have returned from the African Nations Cup but will not be considered for first-team duties until Chelsea visit Hull on Tuesday night.

Birmingham v Tottenham

City have new 3m midfielder Craig Gardner available while Spurs manager Harry Redknapp will give loan signing Eidur Gudjohnsen a "week or so" to settle in at White Hart Lane.

Fulham v Aston Villa

Bobby Zamora (collar bone) and Simon Davies (foot) will continue their Fulham comebacks. Aston Villa field an unchanged squad.

Liverpool v Bolton

Defenders Fabio Aurelio and Philipp Degen miss out for Liverpool. Bolton have signed Arsenal's Jack Wilshere on loan until the end of the season.

West Ham v Blackburn

West Ham welcome back midfielder Scott Parker and left-back Herita Ilunga after the pair recovered from hamstring injuries. Blackburn's new signing Yildiray Basturk is not match-fit.

Wigan v Everton

Wigan could be without captain Mario Melchiot (neck) and Everton could be without Mikel Arteta (groin).

Arsenal v Man Utd

Nemanja Vidic is set to replace banned Rio Ferdinand in the Manchester United line-up. Vidic is ready to step into the breach after a six-game absence with a nerve problem down the right side of his leg. Arsenal welcome back Cameroon midfielder Alex Song and Ivory Coast defender Emmanuel Eboue from African Nations Cup duty.

Man City v Portsmouth
