Cloutier adds new faces at Hull

Centre Jereme Tendler was one of two new faces to be reveraled by the Yorkshire club on Friday, with defenceman Kurtis Dulle also being added to Stingrays' ranks for the new Elite League season.

Due to last month's enforced closure of the club - albeit a temporary one - Hull now won't start their campaign until October 3 and, as a result of their off-ice troubles saw five of the players signed in the summer, four of whom were imports, opt to pursue their careers elsewhere.

One of those was Cloutier's prized asset Chris Korchinski, who was confirmed on Thursday night as returning to CHL outfit Laredo Bucks after turning down Stingrays' renewed offer.

But Cloutier has always remained confident that he can replace like for like in most cases and in Tendler believes he has picked up a top scorer - 18 months after signing him while in charge of Corpus Christi Ice Rays.

"Jereme is a powerful, skilled forward - a pure goal scorer who will bring a lot of offence to our club," said Cloutier.

"He is a very good skater, fast and sees the ice well. I traded for Jereme while I was coaching in Corpus Christi as he was the offensive minded player that I was needing to make my team more complete and he went on to score 13 goals in 15 games."

Dulle, 30, also played at Corpus Christi, albeit some months after Cloutier was sacked midway through the 2008-09 season, although he has spent most of his career at CHL rivals Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.

"Kurtis will bring experience, leadership and passion to our club," added Cloutier.

"He will bring experience, leadership and passion to our club. He competes every night and has high expectations for not only himself but for the team as well."

British forward Ben Lowe, 19, has also re-committed himself to the club for the 2010-11 season.

Forward Chris Korchinski's return to the Laredo Bucks in the CHL was confirmed on Friday.

The 24-year-old initially signed for Hull in July but, following the club's temporary closure in August, he opted to remain in North America.
