Contepomi knows work is required

Argentina captain Felipe Contepomi looked ahead to the World Cup quarter-final with New Zealand after his side sealed their place in the knockout stages with a 25-7 win over Georgia at Arena Manawatu in Palmerston North.

Contepomi claimed 13 points and Juan Jose Imhoff and Agustin Gosio also scored tries as the Pumas advanced as Pool B runners-up behind England and ahead of Scotland.

“Okay, we won, but I think we have a lot to do in the next week,” Contepomi said. “We are thrilled we went through but now we have to work hard.

“We have to rest now and start analysing the All Blacks and try to see their weakest points, if they have any. But hopefully it will be a good game and we can be competitive on the day.”
