Ian Wardlaw grabbed a last-gasp, one-wicket victory for Cleckheaton over Bradford & Bingley.

He had picked up 3-31 and, with Andrew Deegan (4-28), restricted the Bees to 186.

The odds were still in the visitors’ favour when Cleckheaton needed 17 runs off the last eight balls. Wardlaw stepped up with sixes off each of the last two balls of the penultimate over.

Ed Brown (4-31) removed Deegan with the first ball of the last over but a single put Wardlaw back on strike and he found the boundary to give his side victory.

Mark Robertshaw hit a half-century in Pudsey St Lawrence’s 162-5 before Archie Scott followed up a knock of 36 with 5-13 to skittle Morley for 65.

Conor Harvey (4-20) and Harry Clewett (3-21) dismissed Batley for 112 and though Townville lost early wickets, Clewett clinched the win with 58 not out.

Nick Connolly hit 16 fours in his unbeaten 76 as Hanging Heaton eased past Methley’s 108, while Lee Goddard (87) top scored in New Farnley’s 227-7 before Wrenthorpe folded at 94.

Half-centuries from Andrew Bilton and George Drury helped Yorkshire North leaders Dunnington to 187 which was revised to 171 in 34 overs. Acomb looked on track but, needing six off Nick Thomas’s last over, could only manage four.

Harry Adair (78) put on 104 with Duncan Snell (62) and 90 with Nick James (53) as York set a 253-4 target. Harrogate put up a spirited reply, led by William Bates (95no), but with Tom Forsdike taking 4-35, they fell 37 runs short.

Kyle Waite (36) and Martyn Woodliffe (41) gave Stamford Bridge a solid start in their pursuit of Driffield’s 171-6 and a stand of 85 between James Keast (41no) and Dominic Rhodes (43) ensured the win.

Despite the efforts of Chris Suddaby (6-39), Sheriff Hutton Bridge’s 171-9, which included 75 from Adam Fisher, gave them victory at Woodhouse Grange, while Ian Mansfield (53no) saw Clifton Alliance to victory at Castleford.

Whitley Hall took pole position in Yorkshire South Western Group with a win over previous leaders Sheffield Collegiate, Biswick Kapala and Neil Longhurst each picking up three wickets.

With only 88 to protect, Hallam turned to Charlie Bourne (5-8) and James Smedley (5-11), who dismissed Barnsley for 19.

Cawthorne were not much happier with the bat, bowled out for 85 in reply to Wakefield Thorne’s 145.

Doncaster Town continue to dominate the Eastern Group, Robert Hayes (6-7) and George Cowan (4-19) ripping out Tickhill for just 26.

A century stand between Dave Rodgers (64) and Isaac Spencer-Jones (40) helped Wickersley to 194-6 but with Liam Johnson making 73, Treeton got home by three wickets.

Jason Meadows included a hat-trick in his eight-over 5-12 spell as Elsecar overcame Appleby Frodingham.

There was some big hitting in the Huddersfield Red Group led by Hoylandswaine’s Shoukat Ali (146) and Iftikhar Naseer (117) who included 18 fours and 24 sixes in their stand of 230. Naseer then put on 84 with Shabir Rashid (41) as Swaine made 331-3 to beat Rastrick by 237 runs.

Ibrar Hussain (68no) and Luke Taylor (69no) led Emley Clarence past Holmfirth’s 142 while Nathan Kenworthy (70) starred as Wesleyans took Almondbury bragging rights, and Fred Stower’s 41no helped Dale win the Denby derby.

Elsewhere in the league, Muhammad Ali (88) and Tom Fretwell (6-25) led Mirfield’s win over Slaithwaite and Ben Raven-Hill (77 & 3-15) starred as Thongsbridge beat Armitage Bridge.
