Ingram unlucky to be on the losing side

Farsley’s Lorenzo Ingram hit a stunning 151 to take his tally of league runs to 520 but ended up on the losing side as East Bierley’s Andrew Rennison hit an unbeaten 102 to secure a four-wicket win for his side.

Rennison smashed seven sixes and eight fours in a 69-ball knock which enabled his side to overhaul Farsley’s score of 266-8 with five balls to spare.

Ingram’s third century of the season contained five sixes and 22 fours. Four of his sixes came as he took 32 from the final over from Kez Ahmed.

Opening bowler James Davies took 6-36 as leaders Bradford & Bingley extended their lead to 12 points over Farsley by beating Manningham Mills by three wickets. Farakh Hussain made a battling 50 but Mills were dismissed for 128 and Bradford & Bingley eased home with Naweed Ghany making 49.

Hanging Heaton dropped to third after being bowled out for 97 at Baildon in a three-wicket defeat.

James Stansfield (53no) battled hard but his side crumbled against Richard Atkins (5-29) and Craig Hitchenor (3-36).

New recruit Richie Lamb took 5-38 as champions Pudsey Congs dismissed Cleckheaton for 91 to secure a 44-run win.

Undercliffe defeated Gomersal by 31 runs to push Cleckheaton into last place. Callum Geldart (78), Matthew Bottomley (43), Nawaz Sardar (37) and Ashley Metcalfe (34) enabled Undercliffe to 250-7 despite the efforts of off spinner Adam Greenwood (5-71).

Shabbir Rashid hit seven sixes and eight fours in a rousing innings of 97 for Gomersal.

Woodlands were a team in a hurry as they defeated Pudsey St Lawrence by eight wickets. They raced past the home side’s total of 193 with Scott Richardson (55), Chris Brice (50no), Sam Frankland (38) and Simon Mason (38no) leading the charge.

Skipper James Smith top scored with a fine 91 for St Lawrence.

Former Yorkshire batsman Chris Taylor made 122 not out as Lightcliffe ended Saltaire’s unbeaten record to go top of Division Two, eventually winning by seven runs after posting 212-4.
