Jacklin skittles Pool to revive Collingham

Toby Jacklin produced a devastating 7-20 spell to give defending champions Collingham their first win since the opening day of the season.

That looked far from certain when Pool’s Calum Braddock
(4-35) had the home side struggling at 44-5 but an invaluable 73 from No 8 Ryan Sharrocks helped them to 170-9 before Jacklin skittled out Pool for 77.

That moved Collingham up to a share of third place but they are already 16 points behind leaders Beckwithshaw who took five points off Guiseley after a second-wicket stand of 165 between John Inglis (87) and Mitch Farag (143no) put them on the way to 268-5.

Burley remain second, eight points back, after Andrew Peel (4-17) and Nick Brook (3-23) restricted Kirkstall to 147 in which Steven Gornall hit a half-century. Charlie Davy (42no) and Danny Bryan (50no) eased Burley home.

Alex Miller took 5-28 as Follifoot were dismissed for 139 before Akash Fotedar had Ben Rhydding reeling at 59-8. But Miller (29), Robbie Oldham (28no) and Tom Pratt (20no) managed to grab the win with a wicket to spare.

Half-centuries from Chris Winn and Paul Cannings were the highlight of Bilton’s winning draw over Steeton, while Josh Atkinson scored 102 for Otley as they picked up five points against Harden for whom Roshan Livera hit a half- century.

Opener Naveed Panesar (38no) carried his bat against the attack of Mike Baxandall (4-29) and Cameron Pitt (3-31) but Calverley’s 126 was too low to test Division Two leaders Knaresborough, Pitt seeing them home with 46no.
