The West Indies have just completed a two-week quarantine period in Manchester, practising at the stadium and staying at the on-site hotel, and will spend the next three days tuning up for next month’s Test series against England.

The 25-strong travelling squad was split for the match, with Holder in charge of a 12-man team comprising a strong bowling attack including himself, Kemar Roach, Shannon Gabriel, Alzarri Joseph and Rakheem Cornwall and Brathwaite’s group of 13 containing most of the first-choice batsmen. Holder won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Both sides are wearing the West Indies’ navy blue and maroon training kit for the match, with the Test match whites still being prepared.
