Picture this: Relive Yorkshire’s title triumph at Trent Bridge

Veteran seamer Sidebottom tore through the batting line-up of his former club Nottinghamshire finishing with 6-30, and nine wickets in the match, as Yorkshire bowled out their hosts out for 177 to win by an innings and 152 runs, confirming the 32nd championship in their proud history.

It was a personal triumph too for Sidebottom, Yorkshire-born and the sole survivor in this team from his native county’s last title-winning season in 2001 but also twice a winner in the same competition in his seven years with Nottinghamshire.

The Yorkshire Post’s photographer Jonathan Gawthorpe was there for all four days to capture he moment Yorkshire ended their long wait for silverware and, here, we relive the match through his brilliant pictures, from the moment Yorkshire openers Alex Lees and Adam Lyth built the foundation for the win for with a partnership iof 176 on the opening day, to the moment Sidebottom took the final wicket of the hosts’ second innings at around 11.30am on Friday morning.
