Rain fails to take shine off more Roses magic from Yorkshire CCC’s Adam Lyth
The Yorkshireman goes into the third day of the Bob Willis Trophy game at Emerald Headingley on 86 not out.
Lyth’s score underpinned Yorkshire’s first innings total of 178-6 in a match that has been badly affected by the weather.

“It’s always nice to get runs against Lancashire in the Roses,” said Lyth.
“Hopefully there’s some more runs out there for me in this match.
“I’ve got a decent record against Lancashire and hopefully that continues.

Lyth, who made his career-best 251 against Lancashire at Old Trafford in 2014, reflected on a mixed day for Yorkshire overall.
“It was quite tough out there,” he said. “There were a few soft dismissals but they also bowled well. Hopefully we can get 250-plus and take it from there.
“We’ve certainly got a hell of a lot of work to do and hopefully we can get a few batting points.”
