Robinson does the trick as Silsden are routed

Andy Robinson’s six-over spell of 6-17, including a hat-trick, helped skittle Silsden for 36 and put Horsforth on the way to an eight-wicket win that clinches promotion from Division Three with three matches left to play.

Division One leaders Otley took another step towards ending their 20-year wait for the championship with Ricky Halloran (5-8) sending bottom club Ben Rhydding reeling on 57 to set up a six-wicket win.

But second-placed Burley will not give up the chase easily. They beat third-placed Beckwithshaw despite being bowled out for 105 with Istikhar Hussain (4-29) and Stuart Hudson (3-27) doing the damage.

With Jason Wright (3-21) and Kyme Tahirkheli (4-14) turning the tables, Beckwithshaw slumped to 12-4 and were dismissed for 63.

Steve James (51) and Toby Jacklin (4-44) starred as Collingham eased their relegation worries with a 33-run win over Ilkley.

Kirkstall Educational also put some space between themselves and the bottom two by beating Guiseley after Tom Webb
(3-24) and Stephen Brown (4-14) restricted the home side to 103.

Pool and Rawdon look to be in a three-way battle with Ben Rhydding to avoid the drop. Both had their games abandoned when they were in with a chance of victory against Steeton and Bilton, respectively, but Pool picked up three more bonus points than their rivals and are now within four points of Rawdon.
