Shan Masood proud to follow in the footsteps of some great players at Yorkshire
The Pakistan batsman signed on a two-year deal and is making his debut in the ongoing County Championship game against Durham in Chester-le-Street.
Masood, who top-scored with 44 in the first innings and scored 10 in the second, said: “It’s a massive opportunity when you look at the stature of the club.

The great Sachin Tendulkar has played for this club, and my current favourite (player) Harry Brook plays for this club – Joe Root as well. I can name players all day.
“To play at a ground like Headingley, it’s going to be amazing. We’re really relishing this opportunity, myself and my family.
"At the end of the day, when you play cricket, these are the kind of things you want in your life. You want to play for the best teams, and you want to take on challenges. I’ve always taken on a challenge. This is one where we can come out on the right side of it and be a really good cricket team going forwards.”
Masood, 33, missed the first four Championship games due to Pakistan duty but is around for at least the next few weeks. Pakistan potentially play a two-Test series in Sri Lanka in July, a one-day international series against Afghanistan in August and the Asia Cup in September.
