Singleton heroics not enough to halt Otley

The top three in Division One all won and have already started to open up a gap over the chasing pack.

A five-wicket spell from Nick Brook set up leaders Burley for a victory over Kirkstall Educational, although they lost five wickets in passing the 125 target with Ryan Cooper (49) top scoring.

Pip Waters (61) led the way as champions Beckwithshaw scored 215 before James Blewett (5-47) and Phil Thompson (5-41) dismissed Guiseley for 129 to keep their side a point behind Burley.

Steve Booth (5-44) and Toby Jacklin (3-47) gave Collingham a chance when they bowled out third-placed Green Lane for 147 but despite opener Brian Leigh carrying his bat for an undefeated 58, Lane clinched a 38-run win thanks to Ishtikhar Hussain (3-26) and Yasser Ali (4-50).

Andrew Rhodes took his third five-wicket haul as North Leeds were restricted to 225, in which Barry Singleton made 67 not out.

Singleton then picked up four wickets but could not stop Otley taking the victory thanks to George Ross (88) and Matt O'Grady (56no).

John Goldthorpe (71no), Brad Lovelock (74) and John Bent (57) set up Pool's 40-run win at Adel, for whom Dave Standring hit 69, while Thackley notched their second win since promotion when Mahir Ali (4-31), Nasser Jamal (3-39) and Bradley Goodaire (3-9) dismissed Rawdon for 93.

Harden are the only unbeaten side in Division Two but could only pick up four points at Calverley, allowing Bilton to reduce the gap to two points.

Jason Roper (81) was Harden's top scorer while Darren Blenkiron (55no) and Darren Simpson, who followed up a spell of 5-34 with an unbeaten 53, took the honours as Bilton beat Bolton Villas by eight wickets.

Chris Morrison (6-32) starred in Follifoot's 98 run win at Illingworth while a 7-56 spell from Nadeem Hanif set up Tong Park's win over Upper Wharfedale.

Teenager Will Driver (98) and Ali Long (68) helped Olicanian to 257-9 and even though Lee Bilborough smashed 128, Silsden fell just short and had to settle for two points.

Neil Spragg (68) top scored in Steeton's 206-9 but a half-century from Elias Karageorgiou earned Knaresborough two points.
