Holders Wrenthorpe are on course to become the first club for 120 years to lift the Heavy Woollen Cup for the fourth successive season.

They reached the quarter-finals with a 96-run win at Yeadon after captain Gary Fellows (98) and David Paynter (85) put on 194 to steer the Central Yorkshire League Premier Division leaders to 300.

James Goldthorpe's 81 was in vain for Yeadon who were bowled out for 204 in reply.

Nick Bresnan – elder brother of Yorkshire and England star Tim – hit 53 and Rob McFarlane bagged 3-28 as Bradford League Division Two leaders Hanging Heaton beat Division One Woodlands whose 33-run defeat was hard on all-rounder Pieter Swanepoel (42 and 4-49).

Danny Glover struck 56 and Donvandula Ranjith snapped up 4-15 as Shepley beat Gomersal by 85 runs.

Connor Williams hammered an unbeaten 126 in Birstall's 156-run victory at Mirfield Parish Cavaliers.

Matthew Wilson hit 45 and Glenn Yates 32 as Barnsley overhauled Golcar's 194-7 that included 60 by Leigh Kentish.

Paul Carroll (86), Jamie Robson (63), Pritesh Mistry (4-36) and Ian Carradice (4-71) led Buttershaw St Paul's to an 89-run success over Kirkheaton.
