The players are currently in India on a pre-season training camp and return to the UK on March 24. Cricketing events affected by COVID-19 include Lancashire’s pre-season tour to South Africa/Dubai and Worcestershire’s trip to Abu Dhabi, both of which were cancelled. Airport screenings are now widespread in India, where confirmed cases yesterday stood at 62, with the Yorkshire squad based in the Mumbai region.

“Everybody who enters India has to go through screening,” added Arthur. “We’ve taken all the necessary precautions concerning our own players. It’s more of a training camp, so we haven’t arranged for a supporters’ tour, so there is no concerning player/supporter interaction).”
