Dettori set for star billing once again
Cavalryman showed in Dubai during the winter that he still possesses plenty of ability and his drop into a Listed race means Godolphin’s six-year-old is fancied to carry Dettori to what would undoubtedly be a popular success.
Dettori will also be aboard Saamid in the Flaxby Conditions Stakes, but the four-year-old has not raced much and may struggle behind the North Yorkshire duo of, Smarty Socks and Brae Hill.

Hide AdSmarty Socks, trained by David O’Meara, will see the seven furlongs on fast ground as ideal conditions and could certainly be the one to watch.
Indeed, he may have the slight edge over Richard Fahey’s Lincoln winner Brae Hill, who has since finished a good fourth in the Victoria Cup at Ascot.
O’Meara also has good prospects with Eltheeb, which enjoyed an encouraging third place at Thirsk on his reappearance, in the opening Ferrensby Handicap, but preference is for Getabuzz.
The Tim Easterby-trained horse was a good second at Hamilton on his comeback outing and looks a good bet.
