Doncaster Rovers V Millwall: Rovers have their work cut out against Lions

Sean O'DRISCOLL has challenged his players to find another dimension to their game to defeat Millwall today.

Doncaster Rovers are widely acknowledged as one of the most entertaining teams to watch with their gifted passing midfielders, but their manager believes they will have to work even harder against Kenny Jackett's organised Lions.

O'Driscoll, who is set to hand Northern Ireland international striker David Healy a debut after he joined on loan from Sunderland this week, warned: "It will be a tough test and we've said to the players that our football won't be good enough (to win us the game).

"Teams like Millwall will make it very difficult for us to play and very difficult to defend against, so we've got our work cut out.

"They've been excellent this season. They started well and you can see why. They've got a nice balance.

"They've got a nice momentum going which normally happens when you win promotion.

"They've also got a good work ethic and a good spirit and everybody in the side knows what they are doing.

"It doesn't take a football expert to see that they are very organised in a way that can create problems for the opposition.

"They've done well because the whole spine of the team is good. They've got a good goalkeeper; the two centre-backs are strong; they've got Liam Trotter in midfield and they've got a nice balance between strength and pace up front.

"They've got two wide midfielders who can double up both defensively and going forward. They've both got the ability to go past people."

Only a single goal separates the two teams in a congested mid-table with both Millwall and Rovers just three points off the top six despite hovering in 14th and 15th, respectively.

Doncaster won their last game at the Keepmoat Stadium – a 2-0 triumph over Sheffield United in which striker Billy Sharp scored before limping off injured.

There was further good news for O'Driscoll this week with the news that a re-scan of the grade two hamstring tear Sharp suffered has shown that the wound is healing well and that the club's top goalscorer could be back in action within a month.

"It's one of those that you don't want to rush but, touch wood, it's looking like four rather than six weeks at the minute," confirmed O'Driscoll.
