Hide AdEnnis was pleased with her day’s work, saying: “I think it’s been a great day. I was very happy to get a 6.40 in the long jump. I had a few no-jumps, but I’m very happy with the way my jumping is going at the moment and then in the javelin I had a good solid throw, which is what I need within the heptathlon, so it’s been a good day.”
Asked if the no-jumps were a concern, Ennis added: “Not really, it showed my jumping ability is there.”
Ennis will be competing in four events during the Olympic trials in Birmingham, taking part in the100m hurdles and high jump on Saturday and in the long jump and 200m the following day.
