Roundhegians consolidated their lead with a 31-3 victory at Thornensians.

Flanker Darren Booth scored two of Roundhegians' four tries, with props Alex Meek and Paul Dalby getting the other touchdowns. Matt Loughney converted all four, as well as landing a penalty.

Fly-half Tony Chappell scored Thorne's lone penalty in the first half.

Old Rishworthians maintained their second place but had to fight from behind for their

37-13 home win over Halifax Vandals.

Paul Knapping converted a try by centre Paul Bradbury and landed two penalties to give Vandals a 13-10 half-time lead.

Right winger Anthony Shoesmith ran in two tries for Rishworthians, with full-back Joe Billing and No 8 James Parke also scoring. Jamie Bloem converted all four and landed a hat-trick of penalties.

Bramley Phoenix, who have a game in hand over Roundhegians and Rishworthians, moved up to third place ahead of Thornensians when they scored a 34-7 win at strugglers Baildon.

Old Otliensians held on to fifth place despite a 34-10 defeat at lower-placed Wath on Dearne.

Wath took the lead after only two minutes when fly-half Adam West raced over for a try which Ashley Rothery converted, and flanker Steve Wesson scored two of Wath's final tally of six tries. Andy Haywood and Richard Goakes scored Otliensians' tries.

Aireborough won 36-17 at home to bottom-club Garforth.
