Aldershot v Bradford City: Taylor challenges his nervous Bantams side to bounce back from troubled Oxford display

BRADFORD City will be looking to spoil Aldershot's first home game under new manager Dean Holdsworth.

The former Wimbledon and Bolton Wanderers striker opened his reign with a 1-1 draw at Bury last weekend and the Shots are looking to avoid a fifth consecutive home league defeat.

Taylor has urged his side to learn from the weekend defeat by Oxford United, saying: "I know we are a lot better than what we showed at Oxford but I thought we just looked nervous on the ball and didn't do enough with it in an attacking way. We were understandably a little bit down on Saturday but we've got to pick ourselves up. We've got to learn from that defeat and be ready to go again straight away.

"We can't afford not to have enough control of a match," Taylor added. "We have to do a lot better for Tuesday. I felt we encouraged pressure onto ourselves and we need to do a lot more on the ball. We will keep working at it and keep doing what we do in training and hopefully we can put a performance in on Tuesday to the standard that we know we can."

Striker James Hanson (knee) and centre-back Shane Duff (back) face late fitness tests. Simon Ramsden, Tommy Doherty, Steve Williams, and Michael Flynn remain sidelined. Aldershot could give a debut to striker Tim Sills, 31, following his arrival last night from Stevenage.
