Alfie May makes his mark to Doncaster Rovers' delight
May, on as a substitute, sped onto Conor Grant’s excellent through pass to cancel out Jordan Cook’s goal for the visitors.
It was May’s first goal after joining Rovers from eighth tier Hythe Town in January and meant Rovers got due reward from a riveting and well-contested clash with Luton.

Luton forced their way into the game after early Rovers dominance. The hosts searched in vain for the fluidity with which they had started the game.
Even so, Scott Cuthbert had to be alert to prevent Andy Williams from heading in Matty Blair’s superb cross.
Rovers went close immediately after the interval, a counterattack leading to James Coppinger releasing Williams, who curled his shot just wide from 15 yards.

For the second successive game, manager Darren Ferguson sent on May in an attempt to get something from the game and 10 minutes from time, Rovers grabbed the equaliser.
Grant produced a stunning through ball to put May in one-on-one and he slotted home superbly.
