The duo are currently locked in discussions regarding a deal which could see Cellino relinquish his 50 per cent share in United and quit the club.

Meanwhile, Radrizzani is set to hold talks with Garry Monk regarding his future ahead of this weekend’s final game of the Championship season at Wigan Athletic, with the 42-year-old keen to start planning for next season ahead of gaining full ownership of the club.

Monk’s current deal ends in June and no discussions have yet been held regarding an extension.

Leeds do have an option to renew Monk’s existing contract for another year and positive talks and a meeting of minds regarding the future of the club could yield a longer-term agreement.

Meanwhile, West Ham managing director Angus Kinnear is expected to join Radrizzani at the club.

Radrizzani made one change to United’s board last week bringing in former Real Madrid strategist Ivan Bravo as a club director.

Leeds are yet to make any comment regarding the possible appointment of Kinnear or the position of current chief executive Ben Mansford, who joined from Barnsley last June.

Sheffield United and Bradford City have received dual nominations in the Sky Bet League One manager and player of the month shortlist for April.

Both Blades boss Chris Wilder and his Bantams counterpart Stuart McCall are in the running for the monthly managerial gong, with United striker Leon Clarke and City winger Mark Marshall among the nominees for the players’ accolade.
