BARNSLEY head coach Gerhard Struber has hailed the signing of LASK Linz midfielder Dominik Frieser and is confident he will ‘add a lot’ to the Reds’ line-up.

The arrival of Frieser, 26, who has agreed a deal until the summer of 2022 with a further year’s option, follows the capture of defender Kilian Ludewig, who has joined on a season-long loan from Red Bull Salzburg.

On the signing of Frieser, Struber said: “Dominik has achieved great things in Austria and in Europe, so I am delighted that he has joined us at Barnsley.
