Betting: Millers look capable of plundering points at Crown Ground

Leeds United feature in the biggest Championship game of the day as they visit Middlesbrough for an evening kick-off.

Three defeats in five games have seen Leeds slip from the play-off places and their erratic defence will be without the suspended Alex Bruce, who was sent off in the 2-1 loss at Ipswich.

Pre-season title favourites Boro have conceded eight goals in their last three games, but their home form could be the significant factor here – three wins and a draw from their last four games at the Riverside have been the saving grace in a wretched start to the campaign.

Gordon Strachan's side are capable of doing much better, but I would not back them at

11-10 against an unpredictable Leeds.

Burnley have been on fire at Turf Moor, but they have not won away and have scored just three in five on the road. They meet Sheffield United, who are finding playing at home similarly problematic.

The Blades have scored only twice at Bramall Lane, so it would take a bold punter to get involved in this game.

Barnsley host draw specialists Nottingham Forest where you have to favour another stalemate at 12-5. Billy Davies's side are unbeaten in nine, but have won only two of them. Six of the seven draws have been 1-1, the other 0-0, so backing 'Under 2.5 Goals' may also pay dividends.

Sven Goran Eriksson takes charge of Leicester for the first time, against Hull, and should find there is not too much wrong with the squad he inherited from Paolo Sousa, despite the results.

Eriksson's patient style should make this game a low-scoring affair, particularly as Hull have drawn a blank in four of the last six, and 'No Goalscorer' at 9-1 is tempting.

Doncaster picked up only two points from four games before the international break, but they have an opportunity to put things right at Scunthorpe. We go 13-8 the pair and I would want a bigger price if I was backing Rovers to win at Glanford Park.

Huddersfield have a huge game at the Galpharm, where in-form Southampton are the visitors. The Saints are rising steadily after going five without defeat, during which time they have conceded only one goal.

Their football is beginning to flow under Nigel Adkins yet, in spite of the presence of the prolific Rickie Lambert, they have scored only 11 in 11, so 'Under 2.5 Goals' looks a good prospect again here.

Back-to-back wins have boosted Sheffield Wednesday, but they are too short to be supported at 11-8 for their trip to Yeovil. The Somerset club held Southampton in their last home game before 1-0 wins at Walsall and Rochdale, so they are in decent form.

Rotherham have only lost once in the league and they have a fine away record. That will be put to the test by Accrington, who are unbeaten at Crown Ground and have scored 10 in their last two home games.

They were guilty of some woeful defending at Bury last weekend and the Millers have the quality to pick them off if they produce more of the same.

Visitors Cheltenham have won their last two without conceding and will fancy making it three at Bradford City despite missing injured top scorer Wes Thomas.
