Bradford City start interviews for new manager

BRADFORD CITY will today begin interviewing for a new manager.

The Bantams have been inundated with applications following Stuart McCall's resignation on Monday.

City's joint chairmen Julian Rhodes and Mark Lawn had expected to spend today interviewing before appointing an interim manager until the end of the season.

However, Bradford will now spend today, tomorrow and Monday speaking at length to those shortlisted.

Former players Peter Jackson and Dean Windass and former Hull City manager Peter Taylor have been linked with the Valley Parade job.

City, who are understood not to be restricting their search to out of work managers, are refusing to confirm the identity of any of those they plan to speak to in the coming days.

Rhodes said: "The applications we received were of a very high quality and we are now looking forward to sitting down with a number of them and seeing what they have to say."
